Ohio Center for Substitute Teachers  Professional Development Workshop

 

    Madison-Champaign County ESC

 

 

The Ohio Center for Substitute Teachers offers

professional development for current or aspiring substitute teachers.  A one-day session provides the tools needed to be successful in the classroom, including

 

v      Strategies for effective classroom and student management

v      An understanding of professional behavior and ethics

v      Emergency procedures

v      The basics of lesson planning and interpretation

v      An overview of school expectations and procedures

 

A $75.00 fee, payable by the participant, includes a resource manual, a light breakfast and lunch, and online follow-up support.  An SSCO Certificate of Participation is awarded to those who successfully complete the training.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!!!

To ensure adequate space and materials for participants, registration and payment must be received by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7.

No on-site registration will be accepted.  Refunds will be given only if the session is cancelled or the registrant cancels with a minimum notice of 3 working days.
